MODERATOR The Ugandan police OC in Yoro has said
“Security forces both Uganda Police and UPDF have heavily deployed at Nyumanzi Refugee settlement in Dzaipi Sub County, Adjumani district after a deadly clashes between Madi and Dinka community earlier yesterday. The fight that broke out yesterday morning left several people hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the scuffle”

A refugee in Pagiringa has said, all businesses have closed as people escaped for their lives. Security forces fired teargas and live bullets to calm the situation. However, another source told us that a young Madi youth identified as Amanzuru Stephen in his early 20s was killed yesterday under unclear circumstances. The young man suspected to be killed by the Dinka ethnic hails from Ovuvu village in Arinyapi Sub County which forced the Madi tribe to take revenge.
