This rumour is confirmed true and is of high priority – here's why:
More than 105 people, mainly women and children have been kidnapped in an attack in Boma state. Armed men ambushed the Jie community on Friday and made off with thousands of cattle. Up to 17 people from both sides were confirmed killed by the state government. Meanwhile the Boma state civil societies say the attackers are believed to have come from the Murle community. The cattle raid spilled over into the Jie community in neighboring Kapoeta state, prompting women and children to flee in disarray.
