Here is why -
A training on promoting nationalist ideas was organised by ultra nationalist monk U Wirathu and his colleagues Maung Thway Chun and Nay Myo Wai was conducted in Dawei in Taninthayi Region during 19 to 23 January.
U Wirathu worked as the chief trainer at the training on “the Capacity Building on Missionary Work” and May Bone Monk U Kawthalaka gave lecture on Geo politic and on Islamization by Nay Myo Wai and a former MP Khaing Waine Kyi gave lecture on parliamentary politic subject. Other trainers gave lectures on race and religion laws and online media.
Maung Thawy Chun said the lectures included on how Islamic terrorists came into Myanmar along Rohingya people from many different routes as well as on the Burma Citizenship Act of 1982 and on activities of Muslims in outside world.
About 400 people including monks and nuns from 10 townships in Taninthayi Region joined the training, which was held at the Yin Ma Nge Mahasi School in Dawei.
The monk from Yin Ma Nge was the one who invented 969 symbols and later Hna Phat Hla U Kyaw Lwin has published 969 letter. The 969 movement was started in 2012 in Mawlamyine and it has spread across the country.
