This report is Confirmed true and is of Medium Priority. Here is why -
Bilin Township has decided to take necessary action over construction of a Mosque in She Hlay village as it was built on farmland not on the place designated to construct religious buildings. One statement was recently issued by a group called itself “the Mon State Nationalist and Charitable Forces” referring Shwe Hlay mosque as illegal with an intention to incite religious violence among the Muslims and Buddhists. The statement said terrorist attacks could be possible in response to illegal construction of mosques and it said if there is unrest and protests arises the authorities will be responsible, as they were unable to maintain law and order and handle the situation in a fair manner. However, the Mon State Chief Minister has instructed to suspend the demolishing of the mosque after it was found out that the mosque was built on a plot of land donated by an individual donor.
