Here is why -
An event due to be held on 6 January in Tarkayta was forced to cancelled after objection by Nationalist Alliance group. The Alliance is formed with 17 similar groups, which include the Patriotic Youth and Myanmar Nationalist Congress.
The event in Tarkayta was disrupted by a group of monks led by U Thusita. They gathered in front of the New Lighter Hall, the venue for the event, and used laud hailers to play music.
Even though the security forces came to the scene but they did not take any actions against the people who trying to disrupt the event.
The organisers of the events have permission from the respective township or regional level General Administration Departments to hold the events despite of that they were disrupted by the ultra-nationalist groups.
