Here is why -
The Chairman of the Ma Ba Tha central said Buddhism has disappeared in some countries in Asia due to dominance of Islam. Tilaw Ka Bi Wuntha made the claim in a commentary written in Thargi Thway journal, a mouthpiece of Ma Ba Tha. The commentary was published in the Ko Nawin section in volume 3 no 1 of the journal.
He said due to dominance of Islam Buddhism has disappeared in Afghanistan during 10 AD, in Pakistan in 79 AD, 12 Century in Bangladesh and India and in 16 Century in Malaysia and Indonesia.
He said similar attempt to dominate by Islam is still not successful in Philippines and in Southern Thailand. Also in Myanmar Muslim are only able to influence in the some parts.
He said the National League for Democracy (NLD) is working in the favor of the Muslims and he said Myanmar people need to be cautious with the party.
Ma Ba Tha, Myanmar acronym for the Association for Protection of Race and Religion was founded on Jun 2013 under administration of former president U Thein Sein. Ma Ba Tha was transformed from 969 groups, which was involved violence attack in race and religious conflict in Myanmar since 2012.
