Here is why -
A senior monk of a pro Buddhist group the Associaiton for Protection of Race and Religion, more comononly known with its Myanmar accronym Ma Ba Tha called for social boycott of Rohingya Muslims. The monk, Shinma Taw Sayartaw, made the call in an article in a pro nationlist publication Aung Zay Ya Tu published on 9 December.
He said the Bengal Rohinya from Rakhine State are scrroundrals who are unworthy for Myanmar and Rakhine people to have any engagement, wrote the monk whose full name is Shinma Taw Sayartaw Bandanta Kawin Naw Batha.
The article published with the title “Bengali Muslims who are unworthy to have any engagement” said the scrroundral Bengalis who are alway posing danger to the people should not be in our list of friends. Do economic and social boycotts against them. Even we should not buy food they sell.
He said as not only public should boycott the Rohingya people as they are enamy to the people but also the government should not have any dealing with them
