Here is why -
A martial arts training for the members of Ma Ba Tha- the Myanmar acronym for the pro-Buddhist group the Protection of Race and Religion is expanding with more members joining the training during November.
The training was conducted jointly by the Myanmar Patriotic Youth Network and the Myanma Martial Arts League. The latest round of five-day training was held during November 13 to 17 in Bogalay Township in Ayeyarwady Region. The organizers said the training is free of charge and it is aim to help the youth who are keen to protect race and religion.
The participants of the training have to take the five oaths of the Myanma Martial Arts League, which include “ defending the nation, race and culture though martial arts” also they have to take four oaths of the training which include a pledge to protect race and religion.
