Here is why -
The St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moe Ko Township in Shan State was damaged in an aerial bombardment by the Myanmar army on the town on 3 December.
A statement issued by Philip Zar Hong, a Catholic Priest of Lashio said at least one bomb was dropped inside the church compound.
The military has promised to repair the damage caused to the church. The tactical commander promised Priest Du Hkawng and Priest Hkaw Su to do repair for the church.
The military has issued a statement on 18 December saying that the situation in Mone Ko has returned to normal and military will do repair of the damaged church.
